Jamie StoneEl pasado 6 de diciembre Marbella Film Academy tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a la ceremonia de clausura del Festival Internacional de Cine Almería en Corto. Ceremonia en la que conocimos a una joven promesa del cine y que nos gustaría presentaos.

Jamie Magnus Stone (nacido el 15 de diciembre 1985), director de cine escocés y animador, estudió en la National Film and Television School.

«Flights» vuelos acerca de un anciano y su tramo de escaleras, y «Fritz» sobre un espía alemán que vive bajo la cama de un niño fueron sus primeras películas, aunque también desarrolló sus habilidades en Animación y ganó el Premio MacLaren en el Festival de Cine de Edimburgo, y la Mejor Animación en BAFTA Escocia en 2008 por su serie de tres maravillas de un minuto, «El mundo según…» producido por Anders Jedenfors.

En marzo de 2010, Jamie dirigió dos videos musicales para Tommy Reilly; Hacer la cama y Take Me Away.

Escribió y dirigió Sh -Boom en febrero de 2011, que fue estrenada en los NFTS Stars del Mañana Revisión al BAFTA en septiembre de 2011.

Su último trabajo, «Orbit ever after» un romance de ciencia ficción protagonizado por Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Mackenzie Crook, Bronagh Gallagher, Bob Goody y Naomi Battrick ha cosechado grandes éxitos hasta el momento y en estos momentos se prepara para dirigir su primera serie televisiva en Channel 4, en Reino Unido.

On December 6 Marbella Film Academy had the opportunity to attend the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival Almeria en Corto. At the Ceremony that met a promising young film director that we will love to introduce to you all.

Jamie Magnus Stone (born 15 December 1985), is a Scottish film director and animator, who studied at the National Film and Television School.

Jamie studied Film & TV at the Edinburgh College of Art where he made his first films, Flights about an old man and his flight of stairs, and the Scottish BAFTA nominated Fritz - about a German Spy who lives under a boy’s bed. Whilst directing fiction films, he also developed his skills in Sand Animation and won the MacLaren Award at the Edinburgh Film Festival, and Best Animation at BAFTA Scotland in 2008 for his series of Three Minute Wonders, The World According To produced by Anders Jedenfors.

In March 2010, Jamie directed two Music Videos for Tommy Reilly; Make The Bed and Take Me Away.

He wrote and directed Sh-Boom in February 2011 which was premiered at the NFTS’ Stars of Tomorrow Screening at BAFTA in September 2011.

His latest work, «Orbit ever after » a sci-fi romance short movie starring Thomas Brodie -Sangster , Mackenzie Crook, Bronagh Gallagher, Bob Goody and Naomi Battrick has been very successful so far and Jamie is currently working on his first TV show as a director on Channel 4 in the UK.
